There’s no better way to kick off your Thanksgiving with a good run with your community: The Turkey Trot, an Austin tradition, will kick off on November 23rd, 2023, at the break of dawn. Hosted by ThunderCloud Subs, this event promises a day filled with energetic running, cheerful laughter, and most importantly, a chance to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. All proceeds from the registration will be donated to Caritas of Austin, a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating homelessness.
To add to the excitement, First Texas Honda is not only participating, but we will also be raffling off a BRAND NEW Honda Accord during the event. This presents a unique chance for one fortunate attendee to drive away with a remarkable prize, courtesy of our dealership.
The Turkey Trot will kick off on November 23rd, 2023, and will include multiple events. Registration and packet pickup will begin from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Long Center. The Stepping Stone School Kids K, a heartwarming display of young athleticism, will commence at 8:45 a.m. This will be followed by the Wheelchair Start at 9:25 am, the Timed 5-mile at 9:30 am, the Untimed 5-mile at 9:35 am, and the 1-mile walk/run at 9:50 am. Participants can claim their hard-earned trophies starting at 10:45 a.m.
For those unable to join in person, the ThunderCloud Subs virtual event offers the opportunity to run or walk from any location at their own pace. Participants can track their times for the 5-mile and 1-mile Walk/Run and compare their results with fellow virtual runners, all while supporting a worthy cause.
First Texas Honda is proud to be the pre-race pickup location for the Turkey Trot. From November 17th to November 22nd, package pickup will be available at our location at 3400 Steck Ave, Austin, TX.
Participants can also pick up their package on the day of the race at the Long Center located at 701 W Riverside Dr, Austin, TX.
